Energy Surveys and Energy Saving Solutions

In these times, energy reduction is becoming more important. The days of not worrying about the planet are over and there is increased pressure on all of us to lower our carbon footprint.

We have gained a lot of experience in carrying out energy surveys and installing energy saving controls for a lot of large organisations and big retailers including EON, Mitsubishi Motors, Argos, Homebase, Boots and H&M.

From that experience, we now offer energy surveys and energy saving solutions to all of our customers.

Energy Surveys

These include:

• recording total amount and what kind of lighting is installed (e.g. fluorescent or LED)
• checking what kind of heating is installed (e.g. gas, boiler, electric fan heaters or AC)
• recording how things are controlled (e.g. heating time clocks, light switches etc)
• using portable energy monitoring devices (data loggers) that are left on your premises for up to a week so we can accurately monitor the electric consumption 24 hours a day

We can also use our highly effective thermographic cameras to see if there is energy waste anywhere in your building. For example, if all the heat rises causing it to be warm in the roof, but cold on factory floor, we could install destratification fans to bring the heat down to where it needs to be; therefore helping you make big savings on your heating bills and keeping your staff happy!

Energy saving solutions

After the survey, we can then advise you and suggest no-obligation, energy saving solutions. We always give you the cost savings and payback time estimates, so you have all the information you need to make the right choice for your business, which might be:

• changing your lighting to LED
• changing heating (e.g. from electric fan heaters to AC)
• installing inverter controls for fans in air handling units
• installing time clock controls
• installing BMS controls
• installing a last man out switch (LMO) to enable you to turn all of the things that need turning off at the end of the day with the flick of a switch or automatically triggered by setting the intruder alarm

On top of all of the above, there is an option to install permanent data loggers so you can see and record all of your energy usage and savings as an ongoing improvement and savings measure!
