The team came to install a new Zappi EV charger for me and did a great job. A neat, tidy install, with care taken to route the cables where I’d asked them to, and a really good tidy-up job afterwards as well. Couldn’t ask for any more.

Another thing I’d like to mention: The reason I went with JEC in the first place was not because of price (they weren’t the cheapest quote I received), but because they were the only company who actually paid attention to my requirements when giving me a quote. I have a solar/battery install, and the company who installed that had pre-connected a new termination point for an EV charger. I spoke to a fair few companies, and not one of them asked for more info or noted this in their quote. They all just gave me standard boiler-plate quote. Except for JEC, who immediately asked for photos and more info. That earned my trust pretty much immediately, and I’m sure led to a much quicker and easier installation. Kudos.

We decided to purchase an EV without having first organised a charging point, and contacted JEC for a quote for a Zappi, expecting a long lead time. Donna responded promptly with an installation date and we had the Zappi and a Harvi installed only a couple of working days later. JEC did an excellent job of installing a Simpson & Partners EV Chargepoint at my home in Cheltenham. The scope included a new electrical supply to outbuildings and involved installation of a new consumer unit in a work in a meter cellar, installation of buried cabling, and fitting of internal and external sockets and internal lighting. JEC supplied all equipment and materials. The work was done promptly, to a high standard and at a competitive price. JEC was flexible in accommodating several weeks’ wait for Listed Building Consent from Cheltenham Borough Council, by performing the installation work in two stages. JEC recommended the Simpson & Partners charger, which is both visually attractive and unobtrusive and is manufactured locally.

I recommend JEC as a contractor for work of this type.

JEC were very responsive, efficient, patient and effective with the installation of our Zappi EV charger in Cheltenham. I got a quote quickly, they were patient with my questions, the price was competitive with online comparison sites and they were even able to bring forward the installation to next day because we received our car earlier than expected. From quote to completed install was less than a week, and I think 2-3 days of that were due to my indecision! I will definitely consider using JEC Electrical again.
